Maureen Swan

Board Chair, Maureen Swan is the Founder, President and Owner of MedTrend, Inc. a consulting group that specializes in strategy and governance performance for the healthcare industry. Maureen founded MedTrend in 1998 and has clients across the country, focusing on hospitals, health systems and large physician groups. She has expertise in hospital affiliations, healthcare trends, market analysis, and leading C-Suites and Boards to resolution on defining focused strategy and improving governance. Prior to founding MedTrend, Maureen was VP, Strategy and Business Development for Allina Health System. She has a Masters in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota.

Patty BEADLE

Patty Beadle is both a consultant and a chaplain, who has an education background focused on advancing the causes of those most vulnerable. She taught elementary school for several years before becoming COO of Youth Frontiers, a nonprofit organization centered on serving youth. She holds a Master of Divinity and has held leadership positions in for profit and non-profit organizations. Currently, she sits on the Bob Allison Ataxia Research Center Board at the University of Minnesota. In addition, Patty is a dedicated volunteer.

Patty brunn

Patty Brunn is the Media Creative Producer for Target Corporation and serves as an Independent Event Auctioneer. She understands the worthiness in committing her strengths to help others in need and has an unshakable faith. She has a remarkable husband of 37 years, two beautiful daughters with growing families and a heavenly-forever 23-year-old son. Patty finds joy in helping others and developed Hearts in Healing - a grief support group for fellow Target employees. She continues her strong contributions by serving children and working to keep students of all ages safer.

Gretchen Docter

Board Treasurer, Gretchen Docter is a graduate of Rice University, and the University of Houston with degrees in Mathematics and Finance. She spent three years in public accounting and 13 years as a tax accountant in the trust companies of Marshall and Ilsley Bank, and Bank One. For the past 25 years Gretchen has been involved with charity work and has served as Treasurer on the boards of: Friends of Lake Park in Milwaukee, Wis., Team Gilboa in Bloomington, Minn., Milwaukee Chapter DAR in Wis., and Keewaydin Chapter NSDAR in Minnesota. Gretchen has also worked in campaign finance accounting with four city council campaigns in Eden Prairie, Minn., and a Hennepin county judgeship race.

pHONG LUONG

Phong Luong is an attorney with Meuser, Yackley & Rowland and has over 25 years experience in the areas of employment law and civil litigation. He has held leadership positions in several nonprofit organizations, including Bridges to Learning, ABC Ability Building Community, and St. John the Baptist School. He’s a staunch supporter of organizations focused on providing educational opportunities to youth to empower them with prevention tools. Phong has also served as the head varsity volleyball coach at Benilde-St. Margaret’s for the past 8 seasons. He and his wife are the proud parents of two daughters.

Dr. Stephen Lutz

Dr. Stephen Lutz received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Duke University and a Medical Degree from the State University of New York in Buffalo. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Minnesota. He has worked as a pediatrician at Southdale Pediatrics in Eden Prairie, Minn., for the past 24 years. Throughout his career he has seen the importance of addressing topics such as sexual assault and empowering children to seek help. He is honored to be able to promote the vital goals of the Super Hero Kids Foundation by serving on its Board.

Dr. Dennis Peterson

Dr. Dennis Peterson, Superintendent, is a visionary leader focused on world-class child-centered excellence. He joined Minnetonka Public Schools in 2001. Over the past 14 years, Minnetonka has earned a reputation for excellence in education and innovation. Dr. Peterson earned a Ph.D. in educational administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder and completed doctoral work at Stanford University. Both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees were completed at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion. He espouses an expectation for excellence in all aspects of the organization and believes there is no limit to what a child can learn. Dr. Peterson is proud to be the first school district to pilot Super Hero Kids training in the classroom.

Linda Schwefel

Linda Schwefel has over 25 years of experience training and speaking and spent 15 years in the sales trenches, starting at XEROX Corporation. Today Linda delivers keynotes and workshops all over the world and is the owner and managing partner of Discoveryourself.com. She is also a highly rated VISTAGE speaker, the largest CEO membership organization in the world.

Heidi Nauman

Heidi is passionate about empowering the next generations of kids to be safer, stronger and healthier. Heidi attended Normandale Community College and the University of Minnesota with a Psychology emphasis. She has experience working with kids of all ages in schools, churches and Girls Scouts for over 20 years in various leadership roles. Heidi believes in giving a legacy of prevention, health and happiness to kids in schools in Minnesota, the USA and beyond.

Rosie Cataldo

Director of Development & Grants, Super Hero Kids™ Foundation

Rosie is an innate connector and relationship builder with over 20 years of communications and marketing experience including government, healthcare and nonprofit. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Minnesota and a minor in Spanish. As a member of Minnesota’s Human Trafficking Task Force, Rosie has multi-level awareness of this complex societal problem. Spreading the message of prevention and safety to our future generation is a top priority.
